How can you help? Here are just a few of the many ways.

Write a letter to the Editor — Are you happy with the road our state has been going down? If not, let others know why the Republican Party's extreme right wing stranglehold on the Oregon House must be broken. Letters to the Editor are a great way to get the word out for no cost, and they do have an impact. The damage the GOP is doing in Washington DC is mirrored by the damage being done in Salem, and it has to stop.

Phone banks—We needs occasional help recruiting volunteers via phone and will be calling supporters to Get Out the Vote the week before Election Day (November 7). Two hours of time on the phone will make a huge difference in helping make this election a big Democratic win.

Regular Email — Peter loves to keep in touch with supporters and like-minded people. He sends out a monthly email concerning important political issues to those interested in staying in touch. Join the conversation!

Financial support — Every little (or large) bit helps. Donate online now to help us get word of Peter's work out to the voters. Don't forget to take advantage of your Oregon Tax Credit! You can write off $50 ($100 for couples filing jointly) of PAC donations on your yearly Oregon income taxes. Give today and help support Peter's commitment to raise funds and to assist campaigns across the state. Contributions to Peter's campaign fund will not only support Peter's re-election, but will also help fuel state-wide efforts to restore Oregon to a true representative democracy, so we can turn our state around!

Register to vote — If you are not yet registered, or have moved since the last election, you must register or re-register by October 18—but why wait? Register today, and avoid the last-minute rush! The Get Out the Vote effort this year promises to be THE deciding factor.

General Citizen Involvement — This election is the most important of our lifetime. Now is the time to get involved and make a difference. Peter—and all campaigns—need volunteers to help get messages out and to identify supporters. Contact the Jackson County Democrats or your favorite candidate and offer help today. There is a lot to do in the few remaining weeks and your time and energy will make a difference. Together, we can create a momentum that is unstoppable. Join in!
